Mozart and the Dolomites, Film
Sunday, January 3
7pm
A scenic film composed of time accelerated sequences revealing the beauty of the Dolomites Mountains (Italy) through the passing of time filmed in more than a hundred different locations, this new footage scores visually the entire performance of WAY. Mozart’s Requiem. This Powerful Performance of the Requiem was filmed in Prague exclusively for the film. There are no dialogues in the film, only Mozart’s beautiful music. This film was filmed, produced and directed by Waimea’s own Jean-Charles Cuillandre, the genius behind “Hawaiian Starlight”.
The evening will begin with a pre-show lecture: “Photography and cinematography for visual and sonic harmony”. This begins at 5:30 pm and will involve a 45 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. All invited.
The movie starts at 7pm followed by a 25 minute film lecture and a 20 minute question and answer session, for those that want to stay. All invited.
